A day of padel and innovation on our trip to Barcelona

At Gavà Mar, an exclusive club overlooking the sea, the day began with a welcoming reception and the presentation of the official ASICS kit, immediately immersing us in the rhythm and spirit of padel. After the initial welcome, the focus shifted to the product: the product managers explained the development process of SONICSMASH FF, delving into the materials, technologies, and design choices designed to meet the demands of the modern game.

Coki Nieto, Mike Yanguas, and Jessica Castillo, key figures in the men's and women's international rankings and the entire day with ASICS in Barcelona, shared their approach to high-level padel and the role technical footwear plays in the most intense moments of the match. In the afternoon, the story moved from the stage to the court: challenges and matches enlivened the club, bringing fans and top players together in a dynamic and highly engaging environment.

The day concluded with a cocktail hour and dinner accompanied by a DJ set, closing an event that combined performance, innovation, and style, allowing us to get to know the new SONICSMASH FF up close.

Inside the technologies of SONICSMASH FF

SONICSMASH FF combines technical solutions developed specifically for padel. The outsole, with a diagonal herringbone pattern that improves grip and ensures superior control, features the X-GROOVE design, designed to increase flexibility and allow for smoother transitions, while the two pivot points on the forefoot promote immediate rotations in situations where responsiveness is needed. The midsole combines the lightness and softness of FLYTEFOAM foam with the support of the SPEEDTRUSS insert, which offers support and increases responsiveness, giving a feeling of propulsion when pushing off. To complete the package, a lightweight and breathable technical mesh upper, designed to keep the foot dry even during the most intense rallies.
